Ralph Edward (Mouse) Davenport, Jr., age 87, of 1418 Sinking Creek Road in Gala Eagle Rock, Virginia, died on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Rocky Mount Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount, Virginia.

Ralph was born on March 6, 1938, in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Ralph Edward Davenport, Sr. and Mary Eliza Abram Davenport.

He was a construction worker for Dixson in Fincastle and a member of Rising Mount Zion Baptist Church in Gala, Eagle Rock.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Davenport, James Davenport, Luther Davenport, and Leonard Davenport, and two sisters, Ruby Davenport and Gracie Pullen.

He is survived by a sister, Fannie Pierce of Eagle Rock and two brothers, Earnest Davenport (Karen) of Eagle Rock and Floyd Davenport of Covington, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated, and there are no services scheduled at this time. His cremains will be interred at a later date in Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Gala.
