Carden William Knick, 81, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006.

He was born January 12, 1925 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Value W. Knick and Gurty Hostetter Knick.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Wilhelm Knick and a son, David Allen Knick; and a brother, Robert Knick.

He is survived by a son, Steve W. Knick of Glasgow; two brothers: Burton Knick of Covington and Blair Knick of Buena Vista; three sisters: Ruth Sorrels of Buena Vista; Ethel Sorrels and Eveyln Plogger, both of Lexington; two grandchildren: David Allen Knick, Jr. and Lisa Knick; three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jessie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Crematory Service, Buena Vista.
