Freddie Lee Johnson, Sr., 73, of Buchanan, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents: mother, Daisy Washington, father, Garrett Johnson, Sr.; two sisters, Shirley Terry and Lucille Johnson; three brothers, James Glover, Billy Glover, and Davie Johnson; and son, Todd Washington.

Freddie was a member of Buchanan Buchanan Church of God in Christ.

He leaves to mourn his death: wife, Mary Alice Johnson; children, Freddie Johnson, Jr., Jessica Johnson, and Jenna Johnson; grandchildren, Alexis Sith, Aaliyah Smith, Jaisha Hill, Jayden Blake, Jackson Jones, Kaden Thomas, Kailey Main, and Bevon Johnson; four sisters, Susie Berkley(Al), Daisy Rose (Lewis), Elizabeth Knewasser, Linda Ellis; five brothers, Garrett Johnson (Beverly), Michael Johnson (Ruby), Clint Johnson (Lelia), Kevin Johnson, and Jamie Washington (Carrie); and a host of nieces and nephews who loves him very much.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home.
