Obituary for Robert Alexander Bennett, Jr. Robert Alexander Bennett, Jr.
Caldwell Resident, Well-Known Area Mechanic, Dies At Age 70

Robert Alexander Bennett, Jr., better known as "Robbie", 70, of Caldwell, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg after a valiant battle with cancer. He rests peacefully in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born October 18, 1954 in Ronceverte, WV, he was a son of the late Buddy and Millie Bennett.

Robbie graduated from Greenbrier East High School and spent most of his working career helping his community with an abundance of auto and mechanic needs. Everyone knew they could head up to Robbie's Auto and Truck Parts and find what they were looking for, even if it was just a helping hand.

' He retired from South Fork Coal Company as a purchasing agent. Robbie loved Nascar, hunting, watching Westerns and you’d rarely see him without his Skoal can and a small red cup.

In addition to his parents, Robbie was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda on October 4, 2017.

He is survived by his children and step-children, Hollie Fergus (Danielle), Rob Bennett (Valerie), Traci Eggleston, Darrel Krinke (Cristin), Samantha Krinke; all his grandchildren; his brother, Joe Bennett (Linda); sister, Nancy Rogers (Terry); his fiancée, Cora Mariani and her family and his beloved dog, "Sam".

Robbie will be remembered by countless extended family members and close friends. You always knew you were in Robbie's presence when you got a whiff of Paul Sebastian's cologne, heard his cheery "Well, hello there!"" followed by a tight bear hug.

A Celebration of Life service will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to HospiceCare, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
