Obituary for Shawn William Schofield Shawn William Schofield
Natural Bridge Resident, The Point Church Member and Welsh Construction Head Carpenter, Dies At Age 48

Shawn William Schofield, 48, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025.

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on March 15, 1977, he was a son of Reginald Franklin Schofield, Sr. (Thelma) and the late Sharleen Brooks.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Schofield; daughter, Kyla Schofield of Pittsfield, Mass.; son, Bret Schofield (DiLaina) of Waynesboro; siblings, Reginald Schofield Jr. of Fairfield; Shanon Schofield, Jessie Brooks, Diane Massey (Joe) and Bobbie-Jo Grzelak, all of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Shawn left behind so many nieces and nephews that he loved like his own children. He had countless brothers, sisters, daughters and sons that although were not bound by blood he loved them all the same. Shawn’s proudest and most cherished moments were those with family and his heart was so full of love for everyone he met.

Shawn was a member of The Point Church and a head carpenter at Welsh Construction.

Carrying the world for anyone who needed it, Shawn was quick to listen. His smile, his laugh, his humor and his heart all lit up the lives of anyone he knew. Being a big kid at heart, he truly lived every moment like his last.

Shawn's passions were football, his dogs, his motorcycle, delicious food, golf and dancing the night away. He shares these with those he loved and his passions will continue to be carried on by friends and family.

We can remember Shawn by revving our engines loud, teeing it high, dancing like we just don't care and as he would always say…. just sending it!

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, August 22, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Pastor James Burton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to "ManUp?" online at ManUp.how on their donations page. "ManUp?" is a non-profit organization in support of men's mental health and suicide prevention.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
