Obituary for Allen Sean Blickle Allen Sean Blickle
Talented Musician, Arranger and Producer Dies At Age 42

Los Angeles, New York, Lexington, Va., and the entire world, felt the mortal loss, though a beautiful soul is set free. On September 5, 2025, Allen Sean Blickle passed away at 42 years old after a long and courageous fight with neuroendocrine cancer.

He leaves his loving wife, Allison Taylor, his mother, Mary Harvey-Halseth and her husband, Richard Halseth; his brother, Brian Sean Blickle and his partner, Carolyn Norris. He leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and too many close friends to begin to count.

Allen, born March 8, 1983, graduated from Rockbridge County High School in summer 2001 and Radford University in fall 2005. He played in the jazz bands at both schools.

Allen toured the world as the renowned drummer of Baroness, and Meinl cymbals sponsored him. His talent and energy were unstoppable.

Besides graphic design as a first career, Allen's creativity and musicianship expanded to composing and producing sound design for multiple entities including National Hockey League teams Utah Mammoth and Long Island Islanders, the series "Religion of Sports," and countless commercials and shows on Netflix and Showtime and Disney. He was a DJ, voice-over designer, arranger, and producer, on countless ventures. His early projects included six albums with Baroness, one each with Lights in the Dark, Alpaca and Grizfolk. His very last project was Romantic Dividends.

Allen's family will host a celebration of Allen's wonderful life on November 21 in Lexington. Please contact the family for times and location.

To honor Allen's memory, please consider donations to the Greater Rockbridge County Skateboarder Coalition (GRCSC), P. O. Box 1571, Lexington, VA 24450, because there would never have been a skatepark in Lexington if he hadn’t badgered his Mom to go build one.

Also consider donating to the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 2990 S. Sepulveda Boulevard, Suite 300C, Los Angeles, CA 90064. Allen and Allison chose this foundation, and they had planned to do the "walk" in October 2025.

Godspeed, Allen. We miss you and will find you when we go to that place someday.
