Covington Resident, Retired Alleghany County Secretary and Granbery United Methodist Church Member, Dies At Age 70
Judy Boerner Dressler, age 70, of Covington, Virginia, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Alleghany Health and Rehab Center, Clifton Forge.
She was born September 3, 1955 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Harry Grover Boerner, Jr., and Edith Myrtle Dunford Boerner.
She was a retired secretary for Alleghany County and a member of Granbery United Methodist Church.
Judy loved to collect hot wheel cars.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Lee "Poncho" Dressler of Covington. They married on February 1, 1974 and shared 52 years together.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Granbery United Methodist Church, Covington, with Pastor Bryan Boettcher officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
