Covington Resident, Altec Manufacturing Employee and Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church Member, Dies At Age 58

Mr. Henry Douglas Moore, age 58, of Covington, Virginia, died Monday, October 20, 2025, at his residence.

He was the husband of Tiffany McCrory Moore.

Mr. Moore was born December 30, 1966 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Robert Lee Moore and Julia Jackson Moore.

A lifetime resident of this community, he was employed as a lead over testing at Altec Manufacturing for a number of years.

Henry was of the Methodist faith and had attended Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and working in his wood workshop.

In addition to his wife, Tiffany, Mr. Moore is survived by three sons, Robert Henry Moore and fiancée, Brandi Leigh Elmore of Covington, William Cody Moore and fiancée, Hannah Lea Willis of Alleghany County, and Jonathan Tyler Moore and girlfriend, Logan Brooke Sizemore of Covington; three grandchildren, Henry Wayne Moore, Jasper Reece Moore and Starlet Bell Forbes; a brother, Darrell W. Moore of Narrows; two sisters, Teressa "Terry" Armentrout and husband, Dennis of Covington, and Darlene Dulaney and husband, Don of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Julia Moore, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn Wendy Davis and a brother, Bobby Moore.

There is no memorial service at this time.
