Jean Lynn Brown, 77, of Goshen, died Monday, December 25, 2006 at the Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville.
She was born April 17, 1929 in Haymarket the daughter of Henry Fairfax and Mary Dorsey Lynn.
She worked for the Newport News school system as a school nurse and as librarian at Goshen Public Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Briscoe Baldwin Brown Jr.; and a son, Edward Dorsey Brown.
Survivors include four children: Briscoe Baldwin Brown III of Richmond, Mary Crist Brown of Atlanta, William Pendleton Brown of Raleigh, N.C., and Caroline Lynn Brown of Asheville, N.C.; a brother, Henry F. Lynn of Spottsylvania; and three sisters: Elizabeth Richards and Mary Frances Cheatham, both of Richmond, and Caroline Davis of Roanoke.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Goshen Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Goshen. Visitation will follow in the church social hall .
The Sensabaugh and Zimmerman Funeral Home, Craigsville, is handling the arrangements.
