Evelyne Hicks Valentine, 86, of Lexington, died January 13, 2007.

She was born November 11, 1920 in Amherst County, a daughter of the late William Glenn Hicks and Mamie Harris Hicks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lester Valentine and a brother, William H. Hicks, Sr.

Mrs. Valentine was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a brother, Ray Glenn Hicks, Sr. of Madison Heights; two nephews; three nieces; and five cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2007 in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with Rev. Keith Moore officiating. Arrangements by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
