Former Sewing Machine Operator Loved The Outdoors

Mary Juanita Thompson Sensabaugh, 84, of 53 Black Oak lane, Goshen, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington.

She was born on May 18, 1922 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late James Boyd Thompson and Nora Painter Thompson.

She was a sewing machine operator for a number of years, retiring from the Jane Colby Company. She was a member of the Gems and Minerals Society of Waynesboro. She loved the outdoors, where she enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for both family and friends.

Mrs. Sensabaugh is survived by a daughter, Grace Sharon Sensabaugh of Goshen; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Paulien Lindsay, Elizabeth Martin, Hazel Colvin and Thelma Kyle, and a brother, Rudolph Thompson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton with the Rev. Linwood Wilkes officiating.

In honoring Mrs. Sensabaugh's wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home; however, friends may call at the residence at any time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen First Aid Crew, P. O. Box 66, Goshen, Va 24439 or to the Lebanon Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 98, Craigsville, VA 24430.

The Craigsville, Sensabaugh & Zimmerman Funeral Home in Craigsville is handling the arrangements.
