Ronceverte Resident, Retired Medical Clerk, Dies At Age 87
Janet Louise Spangler, 87, of Ronceverte, West Virginia, passed away Friday June 5, 2026 at Lewisburg Healthcare Center.
Born February 21, 1939 at Bentree, WV, she was a daughter of the late Nolan Earl and Louise McGraw Terry.
During her career, she was a retired medical clerk
Janet loved lazy days floating on the Greenbrier River with her husband, family, and friends. She’ll be remembered for her many passions as well as her devotion to her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Spangler on May 1, 2026; and four brothers, Lyle, Leonard, John and Michael Terry.
She is survived by two sons, David Wayne Spangler and wife, Vicky of San Antonio, TX and Burt Douglas Spangler of Roanoke, Virginia; and two sisters, Nola Faye Windham of Lincoln, MO and Betty Joyce “B.J.” Allison, of Montgomery, WV.
There will be no services.
The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
