Frankford Resident Dies At Age 86

Shirley Jean Boggs, 86, of Frankford, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 at Peyton Hospice House.

She is the daughter of the late Isom Mullins and Lola Scruggs Mullins.

Shirley was a devoted and faithful woman. She expressed her deep love for her family by cooking delicious meals and baking sweet treats, which brought special joy to her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished so dearly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Pastor Rodger Boggs; children, Pamela Lane (Aaron), Kenny Boggs (Crystal), Denny Boggs (Tracey) and Darline Mathney (John); grandchildren; Krislyn Henry (Michael), Micheala Cutlip (Dylan), Nathaniel Boggs, Cameron Boggs and Connor Boggs, and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Myla Cutlip and Parker and Sawyer Henry.

She is also survived by her siblings: Bonnie Spinks (David), Sherman Mullins (Suann) and Penny Boggs; her sisters-in-law, Mary Mullins, Cheryl Mullins and Angela Mullins, and a host of dear nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Marie Blankenship, Ernest Mullins, Herman Mullins, Margie Gibson, Ray Mullins, Helen England, Don Mullins, Lee Mullins, Harold Mullins and Earl Mullins; brothers-in-law, Ira Blankenship, Dewey Gibson, French England and John Boggs; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Mullins, Cora Mullins, Louise Mullins and Alice Mullins, and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Germany Road, Frankford, West Virginia 24938, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., with her husband, Pastor Rodger Boggs officiating.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff of Peyton Hospice House for their kindness during this difficult time.
