Obituary for Edith Marie Bostic Edith Marie Bostic
White Sulphur Springs Resident, Emmanuel United Methodist Church Member, Dies At Age 86

Edith Marie Bostic, 86, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, passed away on September 15, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 24, 1940 in Alvon, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Oatie Kincaid Dixon.

Edith was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

She loved her flowers and keeping her house spotless. Edith worked various jobs but probably enjoyed sitting with the elderly the most.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Ray Bostic; son-in-law, Danny Boggs; brothers, Melvin and Jimmy Dixon.

Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Seldomridge (Tony) of Salem, VA. and Elizabeth “Ducky” Boggs of Union, WV; son, Johnny Bostic (Tammy) of White Sulphur Springs; sister, Betty Hepler of Nokesville, VA.; six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday September 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs with Rev. Chris Brewster officiating, interment will follow at the McCreary Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Bostic will be Chad, Kevin, Eric, Austin, Hunter, and Justin.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
