Obituary for Florence (Polly) Arminter Watts Florence (Polly) Arminter Watts
County Native Dies At Age 84

Florence (Polly) Arminter Watts, 84, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Havenwood Nursing Home.

She was born June 24, 1922 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Arthur Hampton Brads and Louise Lewis Brads.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Miller Watts and a son, William Miller Watts.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Polly is survived by a son, Henry D. Watts of Richmond; three daughters: Joyce Ann Younger of Baltimore, MD; Judith Elizabath Tucker of Roanoke; and Martha Louise Strange of Weston, CT; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Rev. Malcolm Brownlee officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
