Patricia "Patty" Jarvis Owens, 58, of Natural Bridge Station, died Sunday, March 25, 2007.

She was born August 13, 1948 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late William Jarvis and Agnes Mae Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Homer Jones.

She was a member of the First Brethren Church and the Lexington Moose Lodge.

Mrs. Owens was employed by the Washington and Lee University Athletic Department and by Poplar Hill Exxon.

She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her children: Paige Owens and wife, Marsha of Natural Bridge Station; Jill Chittum and husband, David of Buena Vista; three grandchildren; sisters: Zina Pennington of Harrisonburg and Judy Sorrells of Waynesboro; and her husband, James "Buck" Owens of Amherst.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the First Brethren Church with Rev. Nathan Phillips and Pastor Chris Becker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
