Rev. Canon Steven Anthony Head, 62, of Lexington, died at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 16, 2007 after a lengthy illness.

Fr. Head most recently served as Canon Theologian to the Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic States of the Anglican Catholic Church, where his wise counsel was greatly appreciated.

He deeply loved the Church, and rejoiced with all the Saints of our Lord, whom he knew as brethren in Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Madge; daughter, Megan and son-in-law, Ahmar Ashworth; and his Hawaiian sister, Kealaokeananeunue Rowland.

The requiem Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 at the St. Paul's Anglican Catholic Church, Lexington, Virginia.
