Eunice Henson Humphries, 85, of Buena Vista, went to Heaven Thursday, May 31, 2007 at her home with her family and friends after an illness.

She was born June 9, 1921 in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Rudolph D. and Lottie Wheeler Henson.

She was married to the late James L. Humphries on July 30, 1942.

She was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by two daughters: Brenda Coleman, wife of the late Roger Coleman, and Jean Clark, wife of Roger L. Clark; four sons: Jimmy, Kenneth, Lewis and wife, Janie, all of Buena Vista; and Wesley, of Rustburg, VA; two brothers: Raymond Henson of Buena Vista and Junior Henson of Amherst; 12 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and ten half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W. A. Mills, the Rev. David Bain, the Rev. Odell Humphries and Lawrence Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
