Melinda Kay Hostetter, 43, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at her home.

Born August 5, 1963 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Rodney Gardner and Dorothy Ramsey.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, James Coleman Hostetter; her children: Heather Moore and Jennifer Moore, both of Hampton; Jeffrey Moore of Rockbridge County, and Caitlyn Hostetter of Buena Vista; her stepdaughter, Samantha Hostetter of Fairfield; four grandchildren; her brothers: Greg Gardner of Buena Vista and Eric Gardner of Natural Bridge; her stepbrother, Billy Ramsey of Buena Vista; her sisters: Karen Tomlin and Vicky Claytor of Buena Vista; and her stepsister, Becky Ogden of Buena Vista.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007, at the Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Larry Clark officiating.

The Lomax Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
