Kenneth Ray Ervin, Sr., 68, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2007 at the Augusta Medical Center from lung cancer.

He was born July 27, 1939 in Eastbank, West Virginia, the son of the late Adrien and Irene Mullins Ervin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray Ervin, Jr. and a brother, Clyde A. Ervin.

He served in the Air Force as a firefighter and was owner/operator for 45 years of Guaranteed Pest Control and Home Improvements.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sherry K. Ervin, Lexington; a daughter, Heather Dawn Sherman, Natural Bridge Station; two sons: Mark Ervin and Ryan Ervin, Bean Station, TN; a step son, Jason A. Whitlock, Lexington; eight grandchildren; two great grandcildren; a brother, Everette Steele, Beckley, WV; three sisters: Wanda Hackney, Stuarts Draft; Sue Jones, Florida; and Brenda Puckett, Oak Hill, WV.

Funeral services will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
