Charles Cornelius Hayslett, 93, of Lexington, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born January 13, 1914 in Clifton Forge, a son of the late Charles A. Hayslett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

He was a member of the Neriah Baptist Church and was a former member of the Lions Club.

Mr. Hayslett is survived by his wife, Betty Taliaferro Hayslett, Lexington; and a daughter, Rebecca Barnett, Pittsburgh, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, Buena Vista.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Neriah Baptist Church, 7 Borden Grant Trail, Buena Vista, VA 24416.

The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
