Obituary for Ann Marie Tomlinson Ann Marie Tomlinson
Worked With SJH, W&L In Administrative Capacities

Ann Marie Tomlinson, 46, of Lexington, passed away on November 12, 2007 after a vigilant battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born on January 13, 1961 in Norfolk, Virginia.

She was a member of The International Association of Administrative Professionals, Covington Chapter.

She was employed for many years at Stonewall Jackson Hospital Extended Care Facility and most recently as an Administrative Assistant with Student Affairs at Washington and Lee University as a Special Projects Coordinator.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald J. Mette.

In addition to her husband, Stephen Tomlinson, she is survived by her sons Christopher Hassler and Andrew Hassler, both of Bridgewater, Virginia; her mother, Ruby J. Mette of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia; a brother, David Mette of Chesterfield, Virginia; and a host of other extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be held at Lee Chapel on the campus of Washington and Lee University on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. Gary Short and Dr. Louis Hodges.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Kerrs Creek Volunteer Fire Department, The Richmond Chapter of Greyhound Pets of America, or The Blue Ridge Food Bank.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.
