Joseph Miller, 88, of Lexington, Virginia, formerly of Pembroke Pines, Florida, died January 3, 2008.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Samuel and Celia Redlenner Miller.

He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Doris Jacoby Miller; a sister, Belle Miller Federman and a brother, Alex Miller.

He is survived by his daughters: Carol Miller, Bethesda, MD; Sara Cunningham, Lexington; and Barbara Wedig of Rochester NY; a sister, Sophie Miller Schwartz, Miami, FL; seven grandchildren and many caring relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maury River Senior Center, 2137 Magnolia Ave., Buena Vista, VA 24416.

A private family service will be held in Lexington, VA. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
