George Ashby Roberts, 45, died Saturday, January 12, 2008.

He was born August 12, 1962 in Lexington, a son of the late Elmer J. Roberts and Romelda Plogger Roberts.

He was a member of the Blue Ridge Shooters and was a loving father.

Mr. Roberts retired from Burlington-Mohawk with over twenty years of service.

He is survived by a son, Jonathon Ashby Roberts, Buena Vista; a daughter, Brittany Alyssia Roberts, Natural Bridge; a sister and brother-in-law, Angela and David Crowell, Huntersville, NC; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Daniel Blaine and Amy Roberts and Brooke Manuel and Cindy Roberts, all of Lexington; fiance, Teresa Hostetter, Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
