JoAnn Tyree Hudson, 61, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 17, 1946 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Lindsey W. and Hallie Clark Tyree.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Hudson and a sister, Judith Conner.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by two sons: Gregory L. Judson and Waren L. Hudson, Buena Vista; four brothers: Alfred Tyree, Hurt, VA; Ralph Tyree, Clifton Forge; Dewey Tyree and David Tyree, Buena Vista; three grandchildren: Shawna Hudson, Travis Hudson and Jarrett Hudson; two stepgrandchildren: Andrew Emore and Cassandra Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Dewey Gilley officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
