Barbara (Bobbie) Louise Ramsey Pentecost, 69, went home to be with her beloved mom on April 3, 2008.

The Rockbridge County native devoted her life to her children and family.

She loved flowers and quilting with her mom.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Pentecost Sr., mother and father, Clarice "Jobe" Ramsey and William Ramsey; siblings: Roy Lee Ramsey, Samuel Ramsey, William Ramsey and Alice Cox.

Survivors include two daughters; five sons; and two daughters-in-law: Melvin, Jr. and Peggy Pentecost, Debbie Pentecost, Herman and Beth Pentecost, Carol Pentecost Kivela, Robert Pentecost, Richard Pentecost, Sammy Pentecost; along with three brothers and four sisters: Grover Ramsey, Delmas Ramsey, Lawrence Ramsey, Madeline Smith, Rosa Beard, Daisy Sears, and Lillian Fitzgerald; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Beck officiating. Burial will follow at the Oronoco Church Cemetery in Amherst County.
