Obituary for Josephine Bower Josephine Bower
Rockbridge Baths Native Was Retired From DuPont

Josephine (Little) Bower, 84, widow of Clinton A. Bower, of Lexington, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 in the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.

Mrs. Bower was born in Rockbridge Baths on November 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Jessie F. and Susie (Miller) Little.

Josephine was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church and was retired from the DuPont Company in Richmond, as a machine operator.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bower was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Betty L. Overcash and a brother, Charles H. Little.

Survivors include four sisters: Mrs. Kathleen Painter and Mrs. Marjorie Tucker, both of Lexington; Mrs. Alma Bernier of Maryland and Mrs. Dorothy Zimmerman of Staunton; a brother, Mr. Joseph W. Little of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Harrison Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Michael Wilburn officiating.

There will be no public viewing.

The Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
