Ruby Beverly Hamilton, 81, of Buena Vista, left her earthly family to be with her Heavenly Father, Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

She was born in Pleasant View on July 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary E. Beverly.

She was one of nine children and is preceded in death by four sisters: Betty Entsminger, Loraine Tomlin, Virginia Wright, and Dorothy Beverly.

Ruby is survived by one sister, Madeline Austin of Buena Vista; four daughters: Marianne Warren of Mechanicsville; Betty Crutchfield of Lexington; Rachel Lewis of Buena Vista; Shirley Brown of Waynesboro; a highly-regarded granddaughter that she raised as her own, Janet Gore of Buena Vista; eight other grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
