Margaret Jane Hunt Huffman, 85, of Buena Vista, died Friday, May 30, 2008 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington.

She was born February 3, 1923 in Rockbridge County, daughter of the late Hubert Hunt and Ethel McAlphin Hunt.

She was a longtime member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church.

Mrs. Huffman was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Huffman Sr. and a daughter-in-law, Linda Huffman.

Surviving are two sons: Leo V. Huffman Jr. and Kenneth R. Huffman, both of Buena Vista; a daughter, Bonnie Huffman and friend, Boyd, of Buena Vista; a sister, Mary Blackburn of Richmond; three sisters-in-law: Kate Austin, Luttie Huffman and Nannie Huffman; three brothers-in-law: Carl Huffman, Roy Beard and Woody Layman; grandchildren: Chad Huffman and Amy, Tiffany Hevener and Tim, Jeffrey Huffman and Hillary, Jason Huffman, Shaun Huffman and Aaron Howdyshell; great grandchildren: Autumn Huffman, Dakota Hevener, Jacob Hevener and Zachary Hevener.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roy Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
