Glenidene Cash Layne Hubbard, devoted and beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away at home July 29, 2008.

She was born June 21, 1929 in Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Bennett G. and Ethel Cash.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: B. G. Cash, Joe Cash, Earl Cash and Emmett Cash; one sister, Mary Stillson; husband, Elmer O. Layne, who passed away in 1965, and husband Lloyd Hubbard, who passed away in 2001.

She was the heart and stronghold of a large family who will miss her dearly and cherish every day of life it shared with her.

Surviving are three loving children: Carolyn Creasy and husband, Jerry, of Indian Trail, NC; Ronnie Layne and wife, Millie, of Vesuvius; and Brenda Farris and husband, Gary, of Buena Vista; three brothers: Eugene Cash, Carlyle Cash and Donnie Cash; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. W. A. Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008.
