Catherine Sarah Stewart Brown, 84, of Raphine, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 14, 2008.

Born April 1, 1924 in Brownsburg, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Stewart.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Ann Luckett; a sister, Hattie Ann Porter and two brothers: William Stewart and Eugene Stewart.

Surviving are two daughters: Corine Rhodes of Lexington and Linda K. Brown of Raphine; five sons: Eugene Brown of Mint Spring; Robert Brown, Sr. and wife, Patsy, of Vesuvius; Lewis Brown and wife, Elizabeth, of Brownsburg; Johnny Brown of Raphine and Jerry Brown of Buena Vista; three sisters: Paul Stevenson, Gladys Mae Dickerson and Alice Carter; two brothers: Leroy Stewart and Sammy Dock Stewart; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with pastor Lucy Hughes officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends after the service.
