Obituary for Gladys Ogden Kerr Gladys Ogden Kerr
Honorary Life Member of Falling Springs Presbyterian Church

Gladys Ogden Kerr, 100, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008.

She was born March 9, 1908 in Amherst, a daughter of the late Charles Ogden and Blanche Sandidge Ogden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Richardson and also, three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Kerr was an Honorary Life Member of Falling Springs Prebysterian Church and was the oldest living member. She was employed by Burlington Industries for 32 years.

Surviving are her children, Vivian K. Jarvis, Lexington, Bernice K. Sorrels and husband, Donald, of Madison Heights, Gladys K. Mull and husband, Eugene, Helen K. Arthur and husband, Jack and Walter A. Kerr, Jr. and wife, Phyllis, all of Glasgow; one sister, Stella Camden, Glasgow; ten grandchildren; twleve great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Dr. Brian Weger officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
