Marquerite Richardson Jones, 64, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Augusta Medical Center.

She was born July 4, 1944 in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Pete Robert Richardson and Evelyn Carter Richardson.

Ms. Jones had been employed by Mohawk Industries for 35 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a brother, Clinton Richardson, Omaha, NE; four sisters, Geneva Jones and husband, Horace, Jr., of Amherst County, Lillie R. Smith and husband, Fred, Sr., of Buena Vista, Joyce Twitty and husband, Lewis, of Fishersville, and Ella Branche and husband, Charlie, of Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at First Baptist Church.
