Dorothy Powell Watkins, 65, of Natural Bridge Station, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008.

She was born March 1, 1943 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Willie Powell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Powell, Jr.

She was retired from Mohawk Plant in Glasgow, and was a member of Glenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Calvin B. Watkins; one brother, Lawrence Powell; one sister, Vivian Moore and husband, Abraham, all of Natural Bridge Station; two nieces; one nephew; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 at Glenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Claude Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery, Natural Bridge Station.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
