Peggy Southers Wright, 70, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

She was born April 2, 1938 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Claude and Zella Robinson Southers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 yeaers, James Wright and a son, Michael Thomas Corbin.

Surviving are her children: Dianna Duff and husband, Butch; Betty Hostetter and husband, Dorsey; Debbie Keith and John Corbin, all of Buena Vista; three sisters: Ernestine Crarwford, Buena Vista; Jean Montgomery, Ffairfield; and Nancy Burnop, Roanoke; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
