Manly Memorial Baptist Church Member Was Partner In Ewing Studio

Rebecca Jeanette Craft Ewing, 95, of Lexington, died Friday, January 23, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Mary Myrtle Wilhelm Craft and George Otho Craft of Kerrs Creek.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Mackey Ewing; siblings, Lydia Craft Gills, Reba Craft Smith, Bittle Craft, Palmer Craft, Mozy Craft, Payton Craft, Otho Craft. Surviving children are Ann Mackey Ewing Saunders and husband, Luther Reeves Saunders; Mary Jane Ewing Barrett and husband, Paul Dennis Barrett; and Janet Sue Ewing; grandchildren are Rebecca Duncan Leitch, Sherry Duncan Miller, Ashlea Denise Ewing Barrett, Robert Paul Ewing Barrett, John Ewing Barrett, Ryan Blackwell Ewing, JaymeLee Stamp Ewing; great-grandchildren are Sara Rebecca Conner, Jeff Duncan Conner, Reba Diane Miller, Payton Lee Miller; one sister, Beatrice Craft Goodbar; devoted friends, Brendan Corbin and Sandy Engleman.

Jeanette graduated from Oak Hill Academy in 1931.

She was a partner of Ewing Studio in Lexington, a member of the Manly Memorial Baptist Church, the Stonewall Jackson Hospital Auxillary, and the Fairfield Senior Center. She was a girl scout leader and a life member of the Lexington Women of the Moose.

Funeral services will be officated by her nephews Norman L. Craft and Gerald Wayne Craft at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow at Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery, Lexington, Va.

The family visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, Va.
