Gladys "Creek" C. McClung, was born July 31, 1924 in Rockbridge County, Virginia.

She passed away peacefully February 24, 2009 in Flower Mound, TX.

Her parents were Lu and Elmer Coleman, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Lil Gilbert, and son-in-law, Rick Gilbert.

She has two loving grandchildren, Ross and Kensey. In addition she has one brother, Jimmy Coleman and wife, Helen and three sisters, Helen Davis, Jereline Lawrence and Pete Davis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She lived an amazing life filled with great memories of laughter and smiles. She had a giving and loving soul, and blessed every life she touched.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009. at the Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
