Wanda Lee Sorrells Troxell, 59, of Lexington, died Monday, March 2, 2009.

She was born September 9, 1949 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Henry and Helen Truslow Sorrells.

She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Bible Church of Rockbridge and was employed by ARA in food service.

Surviving are her husband, John S. Troxell; children, Susan D. Fix, Lexington; Matthew Fix, MN; Daniel Fix, Fairfield; and David Fix, Lexington; three step children, Steve Troxell, GA; Stan Troxell, Winston Salem, NC; and Sandra Troxell, Vesuvius; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Wade, Lexington; a brother, Charles Sorrells, Lexington.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at Bible Church of Rockbridge with Rev. George Warden officiating. Burial will be private and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Bible Church of Rockbridge, 3 W. Whistle Creek Road, Lexington, VA 24450.
