Wanda Marie Jones, 66, of 200 Jacob Street, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday morning, May 31, 2009 at her residence.

She was born January 7, 1943 in Covington, a daughter of the late Moody Wilbur and Betty Smith Jones.

Ms. Jones retired from the F.W. Woolworth Company in Northern Virginia. Following her retirement she was employed by Home Depot for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Vass and three brothers, Charles Jones, Harold Jones and Kenneth Jones.

Surviving are three sisters, Phyllis Crizer and her husband, John of Covington; Louise Jones of Covington and Peggy McDowell of Chesapeake and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating.

The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family receive friends Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
