Homewood, Alabama - Angie Ruley Manuel, age 81, pased away June 14, 2009.

She was born July 11, 1927 in Lexington, Virginia.

Annie was a graduate of Lexington High School in 1947, Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and retired as a registered nurse from Mid South Home Health.

She married William "Bill" Manuel of Roanoke, Virginia in 1949.

Mrs. Manuel was preceded in death by her parents, Robert B. and Dagmer "Dee-Dee" Ruley; a sister, A. Bernice R. Caldwell; and a brother, Roosevelt B. Ruley.

She is survived by her husband, William Manuel; children: Becky Lary (Frank) and Don Manuel (Margaret); grandchildren: Barton Lary (Rachel); Blake Lary; Carter Manuel; Wilson Manuel; and Caroline Manuel; and by sister, Ruth Mays and Diane Dudley.

A private memorial service honoring Mrs. Annie Manuel was held on Monday, June 15, 2009.

Arrangements were handled by the Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood, Alabama.
