Junior Cleveland Keen, 83, of Lexington, Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009.

He served in the U. S. Navy and was a World War II veteran. While serving his duty, he received two purple hearts.

J. C. was employed by VDOT for 35 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Janie Lanelle Keen.

Surviving are two sons, Nicky and Ricky Keen; two daughters, Sharon Vess and Becky Catlett, all of Lexington; four granddaughters, one grandson and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington VA.
