Obituary for Kathleen Dodd Fridley Kathleen Dodd Fridley
Was Formerly Mallow Road, Covington Resident

Kathleen Dodd Fridley, 99, died, Sunday June 28, 2009 at the Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home in Fairlea, West Virginia.

Mrs. Fridley was formerly of Mallow Road in Covington, VA.

She was born December 29, 1909 in Greenbrier County, WV, a daughter of the late Elbert and Rufina Mc Dowel Dodd.

Mrs. Fridley was former Teacher in the Greenbrier County School Systems in West Virginia.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Covington.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fridley was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey W. Fridley in 1978, a sister, Lottie Dowdy, and a great granddaughter, Krista Armentrout.

Surviving are two step-sons, George Fridley and his wife, Sandra of Covington, VA and Buddy P. and wife, Sherry Fridley of Roanoke, VA; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one niece, Wanda Mitchem of Ronceverte, WV and one nephew, Elvin Dowdy of White Sulphur Springs, WV.

The graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Organ Cave, WV with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating.

The family received friends Tuesday evening at the Arritt Funeral Home in Covington.

Memorial donations in Mrs. Fridley's name may be made to the Temple Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 Stratton Street, Covington, VA 24426.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
