William Lee Rhodes, 53, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at his residence.

He was born February 7, 1956 in Brownsburg, a son of Corrine Brown Rhodes and the late William Barton Rhodes.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Nellie Cooper Rhodes; children, Tammy Johnson, Adam Rhodes, Veronica Cooper, Shannon Mackey (Durell), Antoine Wilson and Karie, Tamara Wells (Francis), Lamara Poindexter (Stacey) and Theresa Poindexter; a brother, Vincent Rhodes of Buena Vista; a sister, Kay Rhodes of NC; seventeen grandchildren; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Donald Conner officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 Ð 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
