James Daniel Flint, 87, of Buena Vista, died Monday, July 13, 2009.

He was born November 15, 1921 in Virginia, a son of the late Harry L. and Birdie Pugh Flint.

Surviving are his wife, Rachel Wheeler Flint; two daughters, Joan Dickinson and husband, Tommy of Winchester and Joy Paxton and husband, Barry, of Amelia, VA; grandchildren, Penni Cox and husband, Thomas of Powhatan; T. M. Dickinson III and wife, Doesy of Charlottesville; Jamie Dickinson and wife, Elizabeth of Charleston, SC; great grandchildren, Austin and Matthew Cox, Cole & Tee Dickinson, Ramsey Dickinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mills and Rev. Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Buena Vista. The family will receive friends from 6 Ð 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Buena Vista.
