Larry Ray McKemy, 60, of Raphine, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at his residence.

He was born July 7, 1949 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Cecil Ray McKemy and Nancy McCullough McKemy.

He was a member of various equestrian associations and was a counselor with VASAP.

Surviving are four sisters, Jeannie Brads, Linda Hall, Mary Brads and Patricia Rhodenizer; one brother, Johnny McKemy; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2009 at Hawk Haven Farm.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
