Larry David Cash, of Buena Vista, departed to be with "Our Lord" on August 7, 2009 at the age of 77.

Larry was the beloved husband of Emma Gilbert Cash.

Larry was born July 11, 1932 in Buena Vista and was the only child of the late Mary Cash. Although he was an only child he cherished his many friends.

He was raised by his loving grandparents, the late James and Annie Cash. He was the devoted father to Joyce Franklin and Gary Lee Cash. Larry was a loving grandfather to Ashley and her husband,William Klise and his great grandchildren Zoie and Alexis Klise.

Larry cherished his constant companions, Spaz, the big white fat cat and his beloved Niki.

Larry, an avid golfer, believed that "Old golfers never die, they just tee off and putt away."

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family invites friends and family to visit at the home at 151 Brae Haven Lane, Buena Vista.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Rockbridge Area Food Pantry because Larry was always worried about "people going hungry."

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
