Longtime Registered Nurse Was Lonestar Advent Christian Church Member

Ireta Grey Totten Clark, age 82, of 607 King Street, Clifton Forge, died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at her residence.

She was born on November 22, 1926 in Ronceverte, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Albert and Dolly Dean Boyce Totten.

She was a graduate of the Chesapeake and Ohio School of Nursing, and worked as a registered nurse at the Chesapeake and Ohio Hospital, Emmett Memorial Hospital, and Alleghany Regional Hospital, retiring after over forty-five years of experience.

She was a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Heston Clark in 1999; two sons, Stuart Clark and Carl Edsel Clark; a brother, Edsel Totten; and two sisters, Faye Baldridge and Bernice Totten.

She is survived by a daughter, Deanna Sue Clark of Clifton Forge, and a son, Eric Clark and wife, Pam of Rock Hill, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Melissa Ann Ryan, John Barnett, Steven Clark, and Kristen Clark; four great grandchildren, Ashley Reynolds, Heather Reynolds, Bryan Barnett, and Brant Ryan; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be private. Friends may call any time at the residence. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, (804) 527-1500. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
