Obituary for Nell Entsminger Morris Nell Entsminger Morris
Homemaker Also Worked As Dental Assistant With Her Husband's PracticeP> Nell Entsminger Morris, 85, of 988 Tucker Farm Road, Oriskany, Virginia, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor.

She was born in Covington, Virginia on August 22, 1924 a daughter of the late Farley and Marguerite Conner Entsminger.

She was a homemaker and had worked for a number of years as a dental assistant with her husband Dr. John Phillip "Jack" Morris in his dental practice in Clifton Forge.

She was a member of the Twilight Garden Club in Clifton Forge, and a member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. John Phillip "Jack" Morris in November of 1996.

She is survived by five sons; Jefferson C. "Jeff" Morris of Oriskany, John P. Morris, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Lexington, Farley C. "Chappy" Morris and wife, Betty of Clifton Forge, Dr. Clay S. Morris and wife Iris "Muffin" of Clifton Forge, Dow S. Morris and wife, Sheree of Clifton Forge; six grandchildren: Jonathan Caleb Morris, John Chapman Morris, Allison Cornell Stoots, Clay Sisson Morris, Jr., Dow Jacob Morris and James Phillip Morris; five great grandchildren: Taylor Elise Morris, Brady Carter Morris, Alexia Jade Morris, Lillian Lovejoy Morris and Addison Stone Morris; a sister-in-law, Doris Entsminger of Covington; special caregiver, Rebecca Talkington of Covington; a number of nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephew, Casie Glass, Rene Clark, and Mike Entsminger, all of Clifton Forge; and special friend, Russell Anderson of Oriskany.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph L. Entsminger.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. from Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with the Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and at the home of Clay and Muffin Morris, 961 Ingalls Street, Clifton Forge. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Morris's name to the King Memorial Church, 15229 Craig Creek Rd, Oriskany, Virginia 24130.

Arrangements are being handled by Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
