Obituary for Mary Ann Groah Mary Ann Groah
Was Retired Food Lion Deli Manager

Mary Ann Groah, 63, of Fairfield, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 16, 1946 to the late James Curtis Floyd and Nora Mazingo Floyd.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Groah.

Mary Ann was the retired Deli manager in Food Lion in Buena Vista.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Dale L. Groah of Fairfield; one daughter, Kim Moore and husband, Harry of Raphine; three sons, Dee Groah and wife, Laura of Buena Vista; Eric Groah and wife, Gina of Raphine; Jason Groah and fiance, Roxie of Fancy Hill; six sisters, Jeanne Parrish; Sandra Mabry; Angela Hickson, all of Elliston, VA; Linda Bryant of Richmond, VA; Sharon Conner of Salem, VA; Barbara Noel of Roanoke; and one brother, Jimmy Floyd of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Jameson, Josh, Jacob, Randie, and Maddie.

Funeral services will be held at the Harrison Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday October 12, 2009 with the Rev. Rader Ogden officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the South River Fire Department or the Fairfield Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington, Virginia.
