Obituary for Everett Marvin Hostetter Everett Marvin Hostetter
County Native Was Korean War Veteran

Everett Marvin Hostetter, 79, of Lexington, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at home.

Born December 18, 1929 in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late George Edward Hostetter and Sally Vest Hostetter.

Also preceeding him in death was a son, David Alan Hostetter; two brothers, Cecil Hostetter and Ernest (Rink) Hostetter; two sisters, Gladys Carmichael and Elsie Sensabaugh.

He was a member of the Kerrs Creek Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Hostetter was also a member of the VFW Post 1499, American Legion Post 126 and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Pennington Hostetter of Lexington; three sons, Gregory E. Hostetter, Gary A. Hostetter, and Scott W. Hostetter, all of Lexington; one daughter, Nancy H. Aigner of Ferrum; one sister, Haney H. Sensabaugh of Waynesboro, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Giles officiating. Burial will follow in the Timber Ridge ARP Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
